| Description | Combating Fires in Garden Apartments and Townhomes Live Event Date: Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM Eastern / 12:00 PM Central Fires involving garden apartments and townhome structures present a series of challenges to firefighters including a large number of potential victims, avenues for rapid fire extension, limited access and more. Join Battalion Chief Derrick Anthony as he discusses key factors, such has building construction, firefighting tactics, hoseline deployment and decision-making ideas for fireground engagement in these structures. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask Anthony questions during the live presentation. Derrick Anthony: Derrick Anthony is a battalion chief with the Montgomery County, MD, Fire Rescue Service. A 24-year member of the fire service, he has served as the In Service Training Coordinator for the department and is a national author. |
